Eric T. Jones

Eric T. Jones

Eric has over 30 years of mining and financial experience, and has been part of the Thunder Mountain Gold executive management team since 2007. Eric was the General Manager of the Stibnite Mine for Dakota Mining Corporation (formerly TSX: DAK) — an open pit heap leach operation in central Idaho, and has worked for Hecla Mining Company (NYSE: HL) as Environmental Manager at their Rosebud Mine in Nevada and Project Manager and Mine Engineer at Hecla’s Yellow Pine Mine – Stibnite Idaho. In the late 1980’s, Eric held the position of mine engineer at the Cactus Gold Mine, and conducted precious metals exploration throughout the western U.S. In 1998, Eric founded and managed a Boise-based private investment fund and has worked with various successful U.S. based companies in business development. Eric earned a B.S. in Geological Engineering from the University of Idaho with core engineering studies at the Colorado School of Mines. Eric also sits on the Board of Wallowa Water Corporation – a privately held water resource company dedicated to rebuilding the Wallowa Lake Dam in Joseph Oregon, and other water projects in the western U.S.

Jim has thirty-five years of practical and varied experience in the Nevada minerals industry with a solid background in environmental permitting and compliance, open pit mine operations, mine construction and reclamation, and exploration. Most recently, Jim was Environmental and Land Superintendent for Cortez Gold Mines, a Joint Venture between Placer Dome and Kennecott Minerals. The Cortez Mine produced over one million ounces per year for seven consecutive years, and Jim was responsible for all state and federal environmental permits, project compliance and land issues.

At Independence Mining, Jim was Mine Superintendent at the Big Springs and Jerritt Canyon gold mines with supervisory responsibility for mine infrastructure design, field construction, operations, permitting and reclamation. He took the Big Springs mine operation from grassroots through advanced exploration to full production on schedule and at budget. As Mine Superintendent at Jerritt Canyon, Jim managed a crew of 200 while increasing production to a record level of 40 million tons per year and improving crew morale and safety.

Jim has extensive Nevada exploration experience ranging from grassroots reconnaissance to pre-mine development, and directed exploration team efforts that led to the discovery of Big Springs mine. Jim is experienced in community relations, sustainable development, and governmental affairs at local, state and national levels on mining and public land issues.

Jim is the grandson of Daniel C. McRae, the original locator of a majority of the mining claims in the Thunder Mountain Mining District. His father, Jim Collord, Sr., worked for many years in the area mines, and was the previous president of the Company. Jim has a Master of Science in Geology from the Mackay School of Mines, Reno, Nevada (1980). He has been an officer of Thunder Mountain Gold since 1978.

Larry Thackery has a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy from Weber State University, and over thirty years’ experience of a progressive accounting/operations career. On January 8, 2013, the Company appointed Larry Thackery as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Thackery brings a wide array of experience/knowledge from different industries, including work in retail with Mrs. Fields Cookies and Snug Co, to distribution with Idacold, and manufacturing with Baseline Inc., Nxedge Inc., and Levelution. Mr. Thackery has a background in corporate planning, financial analysis, and financial reporting. He is an experienced accounting controller and operations manager with strong analytical skills, computer experience, and proven successful operations development. Hands on experience with the overall operations process, inventory system, variance reporting, budgeting, and forecasting financial analysis of multimillion-dollar corporations. Mr. Thackery brings knowledge with several ERP, MRP, packages, and statistical analysis. Strong P&L track record with functional management experience developing and managing operating budgets.

Larry has extensive company systems experience ranging Set-up and maintaining the GAAP reporting, the standard cost system, the reporting functions daily, purchasing system, daily production labor reporting, budgeting, forecasting financial analysis. He has a strong understanding of establishing a check and balance system of internal controls, and the detail relationship between different intercompany departments.
Ralph Noyes

Ralph has 40 years of experience in exploration, mine and project management, executive management, junior mining company boards, and investment portfolio management. Ralph was mine geologist at the underground silver, lead zinc carbonate replacement deposit in Darwin California and the Sherman Mine in Leadville Colorado, a carbonate hosted karst deposit.

He managed Calcite Corporation’s industrial mineral mines, primarily kaolin clay, in Bishop California, the Sherman Mine with Days Mines, Inc, and Hecla Mining Company, in Leadville, the Knob Hill Mine in Republic Washington with Day Mines, and the Lucky Friday Mine in Idaho’s prolific Silver Valley.

Ralph managed projects including the redevelopment of the Blue Bell Mine in Mayer Arizona, a massive sulfide occurrence, the Thor Lake beryllium rare earths feasibility study, and the Apex Mine and hydrometallurgical germanium and gallium plant for Hecla Mining Company. With Hecla he oversaw the construction and operation of the LaChoya gold mine in Mexico.

As Manager of Mines and Vice President of Metal Mining with Hecla Mining Company, the operations in Ralph’s responsibility were Stibnite Idaho gold, Lucky Friday lead silver in Idaho, Republic gold silver in Washington, the Escalante silver mine in Utah, Hecla’s interests in the Galena and Coeur Mine in Idaho and the Greens Creek Mine in Alaska, and Rosebud in Nevada. His group discovered and developed both the Golden Promise deposit in Republic and the Gold Hunter deposit near the Lucky Friday Mine in Idaho.

Ralph spent 15 years in investment portfolio management with Salomon Smith Barney, then Wells Fargo Advisors. He worked with individuals and small businesses, specializing in working with mining executives.
Doug Glaspey

Mr. Glaspey is Chief Operating Officer, and Director of U.S. Geothermal Inc. — a Boise, Idaho-based renewable energy development company that is listed on the AMEX and TSX, and is currently operating geothermal power plants at Raft River, Idaho and San Emidio, Nevada. Mr. Glaspey is a metallurgical engineer with 29 years of operating and management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Processing Engineering and an Associate of Science in Engineering Science. His experience includes public company management, mine production, planning and directing resource exploration programs, preparing feasibility studies and environmental permitting. Mr. Glaspey has held positions as president of U.S. Cobalt Inc. (a former TSX Venture Exchange listed company), project manager of Atlanta Gold Corporation of America Inc. (TSX), and president of Black Diamond Corporation, a private mineral exploration company.nstruction, operations, permitting and reclamation. He took the Big Springs mine operation from grassroots through advanced exploration to full production on schedule and at budget.

Mr. Sabala was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hecla Mining Company, a silver, gold, lead and zinc mining company with operations throughout North America and Mexico. Mr. Sabala was appointed Chief Financial Officer in May 2008 and Senior Vice President in March 2008. Prior to his employment with Hecla Mining Company, Mr. Sabala was Executive Vice President – Chief Financial Officer of Coeur Mining from 2003 to February 2008. Mr. Sabala also served as Vice President-Chief Financial Officer of Stillwater Mining Company from 1998 to 2002. Mr. Sabala has served as a director of Arch Coal (NYSE:ACI) since February, 2015 and currently serves as a director of Dolly Varden Silver (TSX-V: DV). Mr. Sabala graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.S. Business, Summa Cum Laude in 1978, and currently resides near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

LARRY DAVID KORNZE, B.Sc. is geological engineer with over 45 years experience in the precious metals industry. Mr. Kornze was the General Manager of Exploration and U.S. Exploration Manager for Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE: ABX) from 1987 to 2001, on projects ranging from the Americas to International projects, including evaluations in Mexico, Central America, China, Philippines, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Dominican Republic.

Mr. Kornze directed minesite exploration activities for the Goldstrike Mine, with discoveries at the Betze, Meikle, Deepstar, Screamer, and Rodeo deposits. He managed the Betze/Deep Post reserve development drilling and reserve estimation, along with mine dewatering, ore control guidance, ore body metallurgical studies, and general U.S. exploration. Mr. Kornze was Chief Geologist — Operations and New Projects at Barrick Mercur Gold Mines, Inc. from 1985 — 1986.

Prior to working for Barrick, Mr. Kornze was Chief Geologist for Newmont Mines Ltd., Similkameen Division, B.C., and Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE: NEM) of Canada from 1968 to 1981.

Mr. Kornze has a B.Sc. Geological Engineering, Colorado School of Mines, and is a Professional Engineer of the Province of British Columbia, and current director of several Canadian Junior Exploration companies including Candente Gold Corporation, Duncan Park Holdings Corporation, Mexivada Mining Corporation, Dynasty Gold Corporation, Goldex Resources Corporation, and Mesa Exploration Corporation.
Paul Beckman

Mr. Beckman is an entrepreneur and owner of Bella Vista Farms, in Eagle Idaho. Paul serves as Manager and Consultant to the Camille Beckman Corporation where he oversees technology, accounting systems, and daily facility operations. He currently serves on the Board of the Camille Beckman Foundation, and is the co-owner of two small gold mines in central Idaho.

Paul attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force where he was a Director – Contracting Automation Systems, managing over 150 personnel responsible for Air Force Contracting Systems. During his service he consolidated two major commands and served as a Missile Launch Officer, Pilot, and Contracting Officer. Paul earned his M.A., in Administration at Webster College, and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Idaho.
